Definition Sports Massage was founded by owner Andrew Lopez in 2016 when he realized working for a spa was no longer for him. Andrew is passionate about massage and the benefits of massage but did not like the restrictions of working in a spa.
Andrew always had a passion for working with athletes and was fascinated with the types of injuries that athletes encounter and how with a few techniques the injuries can be healed.

An important aspect of any surgical procedure is the post rehabilitation recovery. Massage is used to bring blood and nutrients to the affected area to repair the soft tissue which allows the surgical rehabilitating area(s) to become more flexible and heal at an accelerated rate. Massage improves joint movement and flexibility. Lymphatic drainage or manual lymph drainage is a technique we utilize for the a accumulation of fluid that can occur after lymph nodes are removed during surgery.
Stretching keeps the muscles flexible, strong and healthy! We perform stretching movements that deliver more than you can achieve stretching yourself. Assisted stretching increases range of motion in the joints. Without proper stretching the muscles shorten and become tight. Stretching leads to better performance!
