Sports Massage

Sports massage techniques  are specific to the individual. Focusing on areas of the body that are overused and stressed from repetitive and often aggressive movements. Aspects of sports massage therapy are useful components in a balanced training regimen. Sports massage therapy can be used as a means to enhance pre-event preparation and reduce recovery time for maximum performance during training or after an event. Specially designed sports massage promotes flexibility, reduces fatigue, improves endurance, helps prevent injuries and prepares the body and mind for optimal performance.

Post Operative Rehabilitation / Lymphatic Drainage

An important aspect of any surgical procedure is the post rehabilitation recovery. Massage is used to bring blood and nutrients to the affected area to repair the soft tissue which allows the surgical rehabilitating area(s) to become more flexible and heal at an accelerated rate.  Massage improves joint movement and flexibility. Lymphatic drainage or manual lymph drainage is a technique we utilize for the a accumulation of fluid that can occur after lymph nodes are removed during surgery.

What is Whole Body Cryotherapy?

Wholebody Cryotherapy, sometimes known as cold therapy, is the use of low temperatures in medical therapy.  Croytherapy is a natural pain management therapy that elicits the body’s “fight or flight” response to stimulate the production of endorphins and adrenaline! Cryotherapy helps to relieve muscle soreness, may be used to treat a variety of tissue lesions, inflammation, stiff  joints, migraines and more! Cryotherapy will help you feel and perform better!

Step 1- Stand in our cryosauna and watch as the nitrogen starts cooling the chamber to -190 to -256 F. It's similar to standing in a walk-in freezer.

Step 2-Your body's blood starts migrating to core vital areas to compensate for the lowered body temperature.

Step 3- Exit the chamber and feel a surge of endorphins as enriched blood filled with enzymes, oxygen and nutrients flood the rest of the body, accelerating cell renewal in tissues and skin.

NormaTec & Game Ready Compression Therapy are Leaders in Rapid Recovery!

Compression Therapy is a treatment modality that uses pulse massage patterns to boost recovery. The dynamic compression device uses compressed air (cold air) to massage limbs, mobilize fluid, and fight inflammation. Limbs are inserted into sleeves that are inflated to compress the muscles. The compression system then pulses up the limbs, squeezing pain-causing fluid & lactic acid out of them. The limbs are then replenished with fresh blood, stimulating recovery.
